Last weekend was really an incredible experience! I had not seen most of the reunion attendees in many years. As each told her story I was reminded that graduates of “girls’ schools” have demonstrated over and over again the ability to reinvent themselves as circumstances change. The Sisters of Mercy gave us a very comprehensive education, and we all were convinced (even before Women’s Lib) that we could do anything that we wanted – the choice was ours. –And if the first choice did not work out, we moved right on to Plan B. I am sorry that Holy Trinity and so many more of these fine, empowering schools have closed!
To my classmates who are reading this: I enjoyed so much spending Saturday afternoon with you!
