The following volunteer opportunities are available and promise to be very rewarding.
Please let us know if you are interested or know someone that might be.
- Volunteers are needed to assist with and facilitate intergenerational activities in both Shining Star Preschool locations in Albemarle and Louisa. Supplies and activities are provided, love of preschoolers needed. Late mornings on weekdays. Find inspiration through serving a child!
- Friendly Visitors are needed to visit homebound seniors in Charlottesville and in the surrounding counties. You are the right volunteer if you enjoy chatting, playing cards, reading, shopping, or just like spending a bit of quality time once a week checking in with someone who needs a friend. The time requirement is once a week for one hour. Being a friendly visitor will most likely benefit the volunteer more than the person being visited!
- Survey tabulator needed at the JABA Hillsdale office. Administrative and computer skills needed, and mornings are best. Enjoy being part of a busy office, this is for you!
