I have really enjoyed the first week of Introduction to Philosophy! The lectures and readings have me thinking, and I am especially impressed with the erudite postings in the discussion board. As a former science teacher I have been particularly interested in the conversations about the relationship of science and philosophy. We have a unit coming soon that will deal with the philosophy of science, and I am looking forward to learning a lot more about that area. The oldest student that I have encountered so far is 83, so I am feeling quite young, indeed. The one thing I have learned, for sure: I really have a LOT more to learn!
