Colonnades Butterfly Garden

Colonnades Gardeners are all residents here at the Colonnades in Charlottesville, Virginia, enjoying gardening and nature. Some of us have vegetable gardens, others flower gardens, while a number of us are planting gardens specifically designed to attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and other pollinators. Many residents visit the gardens every day during their stroll around our campus. In this quarantine period especially, our gardens are a joy for all of us!

We were so pleased recently to receive our sign and certificate from the North American Butterfly Association, and we hope to be able to post some photos of our butterflies soon.

“However many years she lived, Mary always felt that she should never forget that first morning when her garden began to grow’.
