Market Central is a non-profit organization founded in 2003 that engages the Charlottesville City Market community through educational programs and outreach. Throughout the market season we hold various cooking classes and demonstrations, keep vendors and patrons up-to-date with bi-monthly newsletters, and promote vendors through farm tours, on-line profiles, and marketing. We also aim to increase patronage of the City Market through the national SNAP program, advertising and outreach to under-represented communities, and helpful market shopping tips.
