Volunteer Opportunities at OLLI at U.Va.

olliheaderFrom the OLLI at U.Va. Email Newsletter, May 26, 2009:

OLLI at U.Va. is indeed fortunate to have many of its original leaders still volunteering for OLLI.  They have worked long and hard the past eight years establishing a lifelong-learning institute in Charlottesville.  Their efforts have met with much success and present day OLLI members are benefiting greatly from their dedication.  Although these individuals intend to continue working for OLLI, several would like to develop a team to lighten their work load. OLLI is looking for new volunteers to assist in several capacities and we hope you will consider one of these positions.
Newsletter Development: Write material and collect information for the newsletter, OLLI Notes.
Audio-visual Assistant: Assist instructors with classroom technology.
Volunteer Committee: Distribute catalogs and newsletters four times a year. If you have time to distribute catalogs this June or newsletters in August, please email or call the OLLI office.
Membership Committee: Help to grow our membership by developing membership benefits.
Photographers: Take pictures during courses, trips, lectures, etc.
If volunteering for OLLI interests you, please send us an email or give us a call.  The contact information is listed below. Some additional opportunities appear on the membership form and you may check the boxes that interest you. We would like to organize our committees this summer so that we have everything in place for the 2009-2010 year.
Thank you!
