The Charlottesville Institute is a non-profit organization founded in January 2012 by then-Charlottesville Mayor Dave Norris with the mission of harnessing the tremendous intellectual resources of the University of Virginia for the betterment of the Charlottesville community.
UPDATE: Exciting news — the Launch Party for The Charlottesville Institute has been selected as a featured event for the Tom Tom Founders Festival, … a month-long celebration of music, the arts and innovation taking place in Cville from April 13-May 13. Immediately after the Launch Party, the Tom Tom Founders Festival is hosting a panel discussion on Social Entrepreneurship — exploring strategies that creative people in our community are using to address social issues in dynamic and innovative ways.
