In time the City may see fit to provide a permanent location with a cover for the Charlottesville City Market, but until then stay safe in the sun! The Market is wonderful for its emphasis on fresh, locally grown fruits and veggies and the opportunity to socialize, but beware the extreme exposure to sun which can occur when lingering to long to choose produce or stopping to chat with friends. With our summer UV index at 10 (very high), just a short exposure can cause lasting damage that may lead to skin cancer. Remember your sunblock, sunglasses and hat!
