Garden Week Features April 29 Tours, Talk at U.Va.
The public is invited to enjoy a talk and visit U.Va.’s gardens and pavilions as the University participates on Tuesday, April 29, in Virginia Historic Garden Week. Visitors can tour pavilions on the West Lawn of the Academical Village and also participate in tours of the pavilion gardens; those interested in tours can meet on the Lawn side of the Rotunda steps at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. In addition, Carr’s Hill, the home of U.Va.’s eighth president, Teresa A. Sullivan, and her husband, Douglas Laycock, will be open from noon to 4 p.m. The home is located on the hill above the corner of Rugby Road and University Avenue.
