Why Charlottesville?
Charlottesville is one of only 22 cities in the United States where the International Rescue Committee is located. Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, the International Rescue Committee (http://www.rescue.org/) responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises, helping people to survive and to rebuild their lives.
